An inuksuk is a pile of stones constructed to communicate with people in the Arctic. Inuksuit - the plural of inuksuk - are an integral part of Inuit culture and have come to represent Canada and the North. I came across this collection of inuksuit on a January morning a few years ago while our family was staying at a Blueberry Falls Resort cabin. Not only does this photo remind me of the beauty of that peaceful northern setting, but it also makes me think of the Inuit people and the diversity of cultures that Canada embraces.
